Thunderbird Legacy Group is a non-profit organization in honor of the late Captain Robert “Robbie” Gibson and is the philanthropic arm of Gibson’s Thunderbird Holdings. Its purpose and objectives include giving back to the community of Crooked Island especially in the areas of developing youth mariners, fishermen, marine mechanics and other blue economy endeavors. These include:

• Basic training in seamanship navigation ( B Captain License /100 tons License)
• STCW Certification
• Padi Scuba Certification
• Outboard Marine Mechanics Certification
• Other Community Support (financial & otherwise)
• Education Support (Scholarship/Awards etc.)

Created and operated by his family (namely his wife Barbara and Children, Renaldo & Stephanie, Robert Jr., Yolande & Rashad and Candessa). Thunderbird Legacy Group’s mantra is Faith, Family, Community and Legacy. These virtues appropriately encompass Captain Robbie’s life and what his family seeks to propagate and protect.
